Bollywood: Surveen Chawla, a notable actress recognized for her roles in “Hate Story 2” and “Parched,” has addressed the issue of the casting couch.
Transitioning from television to films, Surveen acknowledges encountering instances of the casting couch, particularly noting its prevalence in South India.
Despite this, she expresses gratitude for not facing it in Bollywood.
Reflecting on her experiences, Chawla states, “I am grateful that I have not experienced this (casting couch) here (in Bollywood).
I have encountered it (casting couch) in the South, and I firmly declined to comply with it… To be honest, I can only speak on it if I had faced it in Bollywood. I’m unsure whether to attribute it to sheer luck.”
