Actor Aishwarya Sharma recently found herself subjected to severe online trolling after a troll expressed a wish for her death in response to her Instagram story. In her story, Sharma had requested her fans not to send gifts, stating that she did not want them to spend so much money on her unnecessarily.
Despite this, she regularly faces an influx of gifts from fans, ranging from chocolates to flowers, which prompted her to make the request.
Sharma responded to the troll with a dignified message, writing, “You may curse me, God bless you,” in another story. Reflecting on the incident, she expressed confusion and frustration, stating that she did not understand why someone would interpret her simple request negatively or accuse her of copying others. She emphasized that she was merely expressing her genuine feelings and did not deserve such harsh criticism.
The 31-year-old, known for her appearance on Bigg Boss 17, admitted that while such negativity on social media used to affect her mental health, she has since learned to cope better. However, she acknowledged that occasionally, the hurtful comments still make her wonder why someone would wish for her death over something so trivial.
Sharma criticized the mentality of online trolls, describing them as sadists who derive pleasure from hurting others. She speculated that these individuals may be unhappy in their own lives and use social media as an outlet for their anger.
Despite recognizing that calling out trolls may not solve the problem permanently, she emphasized the importance of standing up for oneself and raising awareness about the existence of such toxic behavior.
 Sharma highlighted the challenges faced by public figures like herself, including being subjected to unwarranted scrutiny and judgment. She stressed that behind the glamorous façade of celebrity life lies a reality often marred by struggles and misconceptions.
