Set in 1862, the film’s synopsis reveals, “In a time when India had only three universities, Rabindranath Tagore was a year old, and the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857 continued to spark the flames of independence. Against all odds, one man takes a courageous stand in a landmark legal battle. ‘Maharaj’ brings this true story to light more than 160 years later.”
Additionally, Aamir Khan has expressed regret over not spending enough time with his children, Ira and Junaid Khan, and now makes it a point to meet them every week.
