How Did Salman Khan Revive Mahneesh Bahl’s Bollywood Career?
News Desk
Mahneesh Bahl, renowned for his distinctive acting in Bollywood, owes much of his success to Salman Khan, who brought him back into the industry after numerous setbacks.
In Bollywood, the debate between insiders and outsiders is common, but the truth is that success hinges on talent and luck.
Many actors have considered quitting due to constant failures, only to be revived by Salman Khan, often referred to as the Sultan of Bollywood. One such actor is Mahneesh Bahl, son of the famous actress Nutan.
Following in his mother’s footsteps, Mahneesh entered the world of acting at the age of 22.
He made his Bollywood debut with Sanjay Dutt’s film ‘Bekhar’, which did not bring him much success. Subsequent films like ‘Teri Banah Mein’, ‘Meri Adalat’, ‘Ithaas’, and others also failed to advance his career.
In a 2021 interview with E-Times, Mahneesh revealed that he had been unemployed for two and a half years, feeling that his career was nearing its end. He even considered becoming a pilot until Salman Khan offered him a lifeline with ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’.
Mahneesh recounted that he and Salman Khan met and became friends while both were trying to break into filmmaking.Â
When Salman got the opportunity in ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’, he recommended Mahneesh for a role. The success of ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ kickstarted Mahneesh’s career, leading to roles in successful films like ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’, ‘Raja Hindustani’, ‘Baaghi’, ‘Krrish 3’, ‘Jai Ho’, and others.
He also found success on television with shows like ‘Sanjivani’, ‘Kuch Toh Log Kahenge’, ‘Dill Mill Gayye’, and more. His latest film appearance was in ‘Panipat’ alongside Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
