Google has introduced a new feature for Android smartphones’ operating system, allowing users to edit mobile messages.

According to Google’s statement, this editing feature is now available to some mobile users but will gradually become accessible to all.

Initially, the editing feature has been released to a limited number of users in various countries and currently only functions with Rich Communication Services (RCS) messages. However, it is expected to expand to all message types.

With this feature, users can edit a sent message within a 15-minute window. Additionally, users will have the option to modify the message’s format and font.

To access the editing feature, users need to long-press the sent message.

Google had been testing the message editing feature since December 2023, and it has now been officially rolled out, though not yet available to all users immediately.
