Taylor Swift’s Latest Album Matches Past Success: 11 Weeks Atop Billboard 200
Taylor Swift’s album “Tortured Poets Department” continues its dominance on the Billboard 200 chart, marking its 11th consecutive week at number one since its April 2024 release.
This achievement ties Swift’s longest tenure atop the chart, matching her previous albums “1989” and “Fearless,” both of which also spent 11 weeks at the top.
According to Billboard, if Swift maintains her position through the July 13 edition, it will be her longest consecutive streak at number one.
Carole King currently holds the record for the longest consecutive run atop the Billboard 200 for a female solo artist with her album “Tapestry.”
Billboard also highlighted that if Swift’s latest album remains number one for one more week after debuting on May 4, she will become the first woman since Adele’s “21” in 2011-2012 to spend at least 12 weeks at number one, when Adele held the spot for 24 nonconsecutive weeks.
