Actor Rakul Preet Singh’s brother, Aman Preet Singh, along with four others, has been arrested in Hyderabad for allegedly consuming cocaine.
The Telangana police reported seizing 199 grams of cocaine valued at Rs 35 lakh, along with two passports, two bikes, 10 cell phones, and other evidence during a raid on a flat in Hydershakotla, Narsingi.
The operation involved the Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau, Cyberabad police’s Special Operations Team (SOT), and Rajendranagar police, targeting a group involved in selling cocaine to high-profile clients in the city. Apart from Aman Preet Singh, those arrested include Aniketh, Prasad, Madhu, and Nikhil, with two Nigerians among the accused.
In response to the incident, the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau issued a plea to youth and students to avoid drug abuse, urging parents to monitor their children closely and seek police assistance if needed.
Previously, Rakul Preet Singh, aged 33, had been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a drug trafficking and consumption case. She had provided statements to the probe agency in both 2021 and 2022.
