iOS 18 introduces significant enhancements to home screen customization, including the ability to adjust widget sizes directly from the iPhone’s home screen.
Previously exclusive to iPadOS, this feature is now accessible on iPhones running iOS 18.
While in “jiggle mode,” a new handle appears in the lower-right corner of widgets. Users can drag this handle to resize widgets according to their preferences.
Long-pressing on a widget reveals various size options, allowing iPhone users to select the most suitable size with a single tap.
From the same menu, users can also convert widgets into app icons and vice versa, providing more flexibility in organizing their home screen.
Additionally, by long-pressing on an app icon that supports widgets, iOS 18 users can instantly create a widget from the app, simplifying the customization process.
The iOS 18 public beta is now available, enabling users to explore and test these new features.
