Recent reports suggested that Shah Rukh Khan was undergoing eye surgery in the US, but these claims were dispelled when he was seen in Mumbai on Wednesday night. The actor attended the birthday party of Siddharth Anand, director of Pathaan, at a restaurant in Bandra.
A video shared by a paparazzo account on Instagram showed Shah Rukh entering the venue through the backdoor, accompanied by his manager Pooja Dadlani and escorted by heavy security.
He wore a black t-shirt, a matching jacket, blue jeans, and dark sunglasses, with his hair tied in a ponytail. Later, he was seen leaving the restaurant wearing just the black tee and holding the jacket in his hand before driving off in his white SUV.
Earlier that day, Shah Rukh attended a BCCI meeting with IPL stakeholders and reportedly had a heated exchange with Ness Wadia, co-owner of Punjab Kings XI and former partner of Preity Zinta, Shah Rukh’s co-star in Kal Ho Naa Ho and Veer-Zaara.
Last month, after attending several weddings, including those of Annat Ambani and Radhika Merchant, Shah Rukh and his family traveled to London for the pre-production of his upcoming film King.
Shah Rukh will star alongside his daughter Suhana Khan in this film. They returned to Mumbai briefly after learning about the death of Farah Khan’s mother, visiting Farah and offering their condolences.
King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, will be produced by Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand’s Marflix Pictures. The film will also feature Abhishek Bachchan as the main antagonist.
