Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has declared that she will never cut her hair for a role, attributing this decision to her mother, Sridevi.

In a recent interview with an Indian media outlet, Kapoor recounted how her mother had strongly advised her against cutting her hair for any reason. Sridevi, who was very proud of her daughter’s long hair, had once scolded Janhvi for cutting it, emphasizing that she should avoid such decisions for any role.

Kapoor explained that she would refuse to go bald even for a transformative role, stating, “They can use a bald cap or VFX. I’ve endured a lot dislocated my shoulder, bled, broken bones, and put myself through various challenges but going bald is something I simply won’t do.

” She also mentioned that she had a significant disagreement with Sudhanshu Saria about cutting her hair short for her role in “Ulajh.”

Reflecting on her experience with “Dhadak,” Kapoor shared that cutting her hair for the film had led to her mother’s frustration. Sridevi frequently used to oil and massage Janhvi’s hair, and her pride in it was evident. Consequently, Kapoor has decided not to cut her hair for any future roles.

Currently, Kapoor is preparing for the release of Sudhanshu Saria’s spy thriller “Ulajh,” where she plays Suhana Bhatia, a young IFS officer from a family of patriots. The film is set to be released on August 2.

Looking ahead, Kapoor has an exciting slate of projects, including “Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari” and her South film debut, “Devara: Part 1.”
