Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt dropped from ‘Son of Sardaar’
Neither Sonakshi Sinha nor Sanjay Dutt will be part of the upcoming sequel Son of Sardaar 2, led by Ajay Devgn.
Indian media reports reveal that Sanjay Dutt was removed from the cast of Son of Sardaar 2, which is set to be filmed in Scotland, after his UK visa application was denied. The rejection was attributed to his past incarceration. A source close to the production shared with Indian publications, “Since his arrest in 1993, Sanju has traveled to the US but has repeatedly been denied a UK visa. The Son of Sardaar 2 shoot would have marked his first trip to the UK.”
The source also confirmed, “After Ajay’s team learned that the senior actor’s visa had been refused, they decided to replace him with Ravi Kishan.”Actor Mrunal Thakur has taken over from Sonakshi Sinha to star as the female lead in Son of Sardaar 2.
Filming for the sequel began this week in the UK, featuring lead actors Ajay Devgn and Thakur, alongside Vijay Raaz, Chunky Pandey, Deepak Dobriyal, Vindu Dara Singh, Neeru Bajwa, Kubbra Sait, Mukul Dev, Roshni Walia, and Ashwini Kalsekar.Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt has an exciting slate of projects ahead, including Ghudchadi, Double iSmart, Sheran Di Kaum Punjabi, KD – The Devil, and Baap, among others.
