‘Joyride’ centers on the unexpected bond between Mully (Charlie Reid), who has recently lost his mother to cancer, and Joy (Olivia Colman), a solicitor who experiences an unexpected childbirth.
The story unfolds when Mully discovers that his father has embezzled money raised in his mother’s honor. He takes the cash and escapes in a taxi with its doors left open.
While on the road, Mully discovers a drunken woman named Joy and her newborn baby in the backseat of the taxi.
As they both seek to escape their difficult circumstances, they form a strong bond and support each other throughout their journey.
