Khaled Anam remarked, “The response to ‘Gentleman’ has been very positive, especially regarding the portrayal of a progressive father. He is a strong character, and I hope I represented that effectively.
However, there’s another show on TV where actresses are critiquing dramas, claiming that a character who pushes his daughter into an affair with a man is portrayed negatively. That’s their perspective, but I believe these kinds of reactions are problematic.
During our theater training, we were taught that a reviewer should have a proper understanding of theater to offer valid critiques. Those who haven’t studied theater aren’t qualified to review it. Just disliking something doesn’t make one an expert in criticism. Genuine critique should come from those with a background in acting and theater. While these critiques come from friends on their show, it’s important to recognize that social media often encourages harsh and unjust opinions about others.”
It is important to note that on the show “Kya Drama Hai,” Nadia Khan commented that Zarnab’s father is being overly insistent about her relationship with Munna and is eager for them to marry as soon as possible.
