Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi recently disabled Instagram comments after facing a barrage of abuse from fans of South star Prabhas. Warsi had criticized Prabhas’s performance in the film “Kalki 2898 AD,” calling him a “joker,” which sparked a wave of backlash from Prabhas’s supporters.

In response to the intense trolling, Warsi turned off the comments on his latest Instagram post, which featured a photo of him with his wife Maria Goretti and daughter, taken on India’s Independence Day. He captioned the post, “HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY Jai Hind.”

Earlier, Warsi had expressed his dissatisfaction with “Kalki 2898 AD,” which also stars veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan. He commented that he was not impressed with the film and praised Bachchan, saying, “I swear if we had the power he has, our lives would be set. He’s unreal.”

Warsi further criticized the film, saying, “Prabhas, I am really sad. Why was he was like a joker. I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. What have you made of it? Why do they do such things I never understand.”

“Kalki 2898 AD,” directed by Nag Ashwin, features Prabhas in the lead role alongside Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan. Warsi, who made his acting debut with “Tere Mere Sapne” in 1996, is best known for his role as “Circuit” in the “Munna Bhai” films, which earned him widespread acclaim.
