In his video, Iqrar Ul Hassan provides a reality check to those speaking out for the innocent lives lost in the tragedy. He argues that the wealthy perpetrator will likely evade justice by paying diyat (compensation) to the victims’ families.
In the video, Iqrar Ul Hassan stated, “The wealthy individual Natasha, who caused the deaths of an innocent father and daughter by running them over with her Prado in Karsaaz, Karachi, is not the one at fault; it is us who are misguided.
We are the ones on the wrong side, raising our voices in a society that lacks justice, and we foolishly expect fair treatment. We are the ones who disrespect the wealthy by challenging them, not her. We are deluded to think she will be held accountable. Natasha is perfectly fine; it is our illusion that she will face punishment.
We anticipated that the police would arrest her and take her to jail like they do with others, but instead, she was escorted to the police station with the respect due to her. We wrongly assumed she was intoxicated, but it was her wealth that protected her.
The doctor who declared Natasha mentally stable is misguided; we are the ones creating obstacles by speaking out and protesting.”
