Telugu actor Ravi Teja Undergoes Surgery after Injured On Set
Telugu actor and producer Ravi Teja has been hospitalized following an injury sustained during the shoot of his upcoming film directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu. Reports indicate that Teja suffered a muscle tear in his right hand, which required surgical intervention.
A spokesperson for Teja confirmed, “Mass Maharaja #Raviteja recently injured his right hand while filming #RT75. Despite the injury, he continued working, which unfortunately worsened the condition. He underwent a successful surgery at Yashoda Hospitals yesterday and has been advised six weeks of bed rest for full recovery.”
It was reported that Teja persisted with the shoot even after the injury, leading to further health complications.
Recently, Ravi Teja starred in “Mr. Bachchan,” released on India’s Independence Day, but it did not perform well at the box office. This film, a Telugu remake of Ajay Devgn’s “Raid,” was adapted by director Harish Shankar into a commercial format.
“Mr. Bachchan” marked Teja’s third collaboration with South Indian director Harish Shankar, following “Shock” and “Mirapakay.” Rising actor Bhagyashri Borse, who made her debut in ‘Yaariyan 2’ earlier this year, also featured in the film. The project was produced by TG Vishwa Prasad with Vivek Kuchibhotla as the co-producer.
