Two days after Shaheen Shah and his wife Ansha welcomed their first child, the star pacer shared the first glimpse of their baby boy, Aliyaar Afridi, on Instagram, expressing his joy.
“My heart is full and my life has become so much better. 24/08/2024 will always hold a special place in our hearts. Welcome to the world, my son, Aliyaar Afridi,” Shaheen wrote.
He also took a moment to thank his wife Ansha, calling her the ‘support system’ of their small family, for enduring ‘all the pain and sufferings.’ Shaheen expressed his gratitude for the kind wishes and prayers they have received and asked everyone to keep their family in their thoughts.

For context, Shaheen Shah Afridi became engaged to Ansha Shahid, the second-eldest daughter of the former national cricket team captain, in 2021. Their nikah took place in a private ceremony in February of the previous year, and the week-long wedding festivities, including Ansha’s rukhsati, occurred in September 2023.
Rumors about the couple expecting their first child surfaced last month and were later confirmed by Pakistan Test team head coach Jason Gillespie.
