In an effort to enhance its offerings and compete with established video conferencing platforms, X (formerly Twitter) is developing a new video conferencing tool.

Owned by Elon Musk, X has already trialed the feature during an internal company conference, garnering positive feedback from employees.

Chris Park, an X executive, revealed that the tool will enable users to quickly start or schedule video meetings, much like Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. Hosts will have the ability to generate a unique code for each meeting, allowing participants to join easily.

While the exact launch date and availability are yet to be announced, it is anticipated that X will roll out the feature soon. It remains unclear whether it will be accessible to all users or limited to those with a subscription, as many of X’s new features are currently reserved for paying members.

Elon Musk’s reaction to Chris Park’s announcement a fire emoji indicates his endorsement of the upcoming feature.
