Following her prominent role in the action-packed film “Furiosa: Mad Max Saga,” Hollywood star Anya Taylor-Joy has shared her dream of tackling a musical role in the future.
In a recent interview with Vogue Hong Kong, the “Queen’s Gambit” actress expressed her desire to take on a musical, citing her current passion for challenging roles. “I’m very immersed in my current work, but I would love to take on a musical. The idea of having to sing, dance, and act all at once sounds incredibly exciting to me,” she said.
When asked about which character she would like to play, Taylor-Joy mentioned Disney’s iconic ice princess, Elsa, from “Frozen.” She noted, “I think it would be fantastic. The idea of shooting ice cubes from your hands sounds like a lot of fun.”
Another reason for her interest in playing Elsa is the chance to impress her nieces and nephews. “All my siblings have kids now, and it would be wonderful for them to be able to say, ‘My aunt is Elsa.’ That would be amazing!” she added.
Taylor-Joy was last seen in “Furiosa: Mad Max Saga,” the fifth installment in the popular post-apocalyptic series. In this prequel, she portrayed the character Furiosa, originally played by Charlize Theron, opposite Chris Hemsworth in a villainous role.
Currently, Disney is working on the third and fourth installments of the “Frozen” series, with the third film scheduled for release in 2027.
