Renowned Bollywood choreographer and director Farah Khan revealed her initial hesitance in casting Katrina Kaif for the film “Tees Maar Khan.”
Starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role, the movie, released in 2010, didn’t meet expectations at the box office. However, the song “Sheila Ki Jawani” from the film turned out to be a massive success.
Farah Khan, known for her successful ventures like “Om Shanti Om” and “Main Hoon Na,” shared her reservations about casting Katrina Kaif, citing distance as a factor.
She explained, “When I decided to cast Katrina in ‘Tees Maar Khan,’ it was primarily because of her established on-screen chemistry with Akshay, having worked together in several films before. Furthermore, my prior experience of collaborating with Katrina in ‘Agar Magar Mein Tha’ also influenced my decision.”
Despite the film’s underwhelming performance, Farah Khan expressed her delight over the immense popularity of the song “Sheila Ki Jawani.”
