Singer and former Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen had an unexpected encounter during a live performance in Sevilla, Spain, when a bat bit her while she was singing The Pretty Reckless’ song “Witches Burn”.Â
Momsen shared the video of the incident on Instagram, where the bat can be seen landing on her leg while she performed, seemingly unaware. In the video, screams from the audience can be heard as they tried to alert her to the bat’s presence.Â
Despite the interruption, Momsen joked about the incident, remarking, “I must really be a witch.” She later revealed in the caption that she was bitten by the bat, necessitating rabies shots for the next two weeks.Â
Momsen thanked the hospital staff who humorously dubbed her “Batgirl” after the incident made local news. She teased that there would be more footage to come, labeling the event as a memorable moment in her career.
