After a lengthy wait, a teaser for the romantic comedy film “Mastani,” starring popular actors Affan Waheed and Amna Ilyas, has finally been released.
The film, whose shooting began in 2020 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent production issues, is now set to premiere in August after a four-year hiatus.
The teaser, unveiled on the official Instagram account of “Mastani,” introduces Affan Waheed and Amna Ilyas in their respective roles. While the teaser doesn’t divulge much about the storyline, it suggests that “Mastani” will blend romance with elements of tragedy.
Alongside Affan Waheed and Amna Ilyas, the film features a supporting cast including Hira Khan, Aadi Adeel Amjad, Parveen Akbar, Shahnawaz Zaidi, Abbas Ashraf Awan, and Amna Malik. Written and directed by Usman Rizvi, the film is produced by Daniya Nizami.
Although the teaser announces the film’s release in August, the exact date has not yet been disclosed. If “Mastani” hits theaters next month as planned, it will mark Affan Waheed’s debut on the big screen, despite delays also affecting his other film “Rafi: The Untold Story.”
