Motorola is gearing up to launch the Edge 50 Neo this year, succeeding the Edge 40 Neo released in September 2023.

A leak from tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, in collaboration with 91Mobiles, reveals key details about the upcoming handset. The Motorola Edge 50 Neo will reportedly offer two storage options: 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage.

This marks a significant increase from the Edge 40 Neo, which came in 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB configurations.

The smartphone is expected to be available in four colors: Blue, Grey, Poinciana, and Milk. While the number of color choices remains the same as the Edge 40 Neo, the specific shades might differ. Some colors could also be Pantone-certified, similar to the Peach Fuzz variant of its predecessor.

Details on the exact specifications of the Motorola Edge 50 Neo have not been disclosed yet, but improvements over the Edge 40 Neo are anticipated.

The Edge 40 Neo featured a 6.55-inch pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7030 SoC. It boasted up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, running Android 13 initially but recently updated to Android 14.

The Edge 40 Neo also included a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, along with a 32-megapixel front camera.

It housed a 5,000mAh battery supporting 68W wired fast charging and carried an IP68 rating for dust and splash resistance.
