Zaheer Iqbal, husband of Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, recently shared details about his meeting with her father, Shatrughan Sinha, where he discussed his intention to propose to her.
The couple tied the knot in a private civil ceremony on June 23, followed by a lavish reception at a Mumbai eatery. Despite one of her brothers missing the event, Shatrughan Sinha and her brother Kussh were present at the wedding.
Reflecting on his meeting with Shatrughan Sinha, Zaheer Iqbal admitted feeling nervous as he had never had a one-on-one conversation with him before.
However, he found Sinha to be genuine, relaxed, and incredibly kind. Zaheer also revealed that he discussed his proposal plans during their chat, expressing appreciation for how supportive and approachable Sinha was throughout the conversation.
Meanwhile, Sonakshi Sinha praised her father’s acceptance and support for her interfaith marriage with Zaheer Iqbal.
She recalled nervously informing her father about their relationship and was pleasantly surprised by his relaxed response. Sinha simply told her that as adults, their decision was what mattered most, making the process unexpectedly smooth and comforting for her.
