Netflix has unveiled that “Bridgerton” season 4 will center on Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson, and his quest for love. After being less prominent in recent seasons, Benedict will finally find his soulmate, according to a report from a US media outlet.
The upcoming season will adapt Julia Quinn’s third novel in the series, titled “An Offer From a Gentleman,” which focuses on Benedict’s search for Sophie Beckett, the mysterious “lady in silver” he encountered.
Netflix’s description of the season confirms Benedict’s romantic interest remains Sophie Beckett. The series, based on Julia Quinn’s books, follows each Bridgerton sibling’s romantic journey in Regency-era London.
It’s worth noting that season 3 of “Bridgerton” skipped over Benedict’s storyline to focus on Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan).
Developed by Shonda Rhimes’ Shondaland and Netflix, “Bridgerton” explores the social season of early 1800s London, highlighting the struggles and triumphs of young nobility seeking love.
